Artisan Bar Soap

CP, aka Cold Process Soap is the art of combining a variety of skin loving oils and butters with sodium hydroxide. This combination causes a chemical reaction known as saponification. No external heat is applied, and once the saponification process is complete (usually 24-48 hours), the soap loaf is cut and then allowed to air “cure” so the remaining water content can evaporate, leading to a harder and longer lasting bar. What you now have is a solid bar of natural, skin nourishing ingredients that your skin needs and deserves. CP soap making is ideal for preserving the benefits of plant derived oils and butters. CP soap is a time-tested technique traced as far back as ancient Babylon.
